August Round Up

August has been a crazy month, with a new baby it's been hard to give Mimi's Bowl the love, care and attention that I normally do. I'm hoping that in the Autumn I'll be able to get into a better routine of juggling everything. And as we enter September I am working on lots of new content, recipes and collabs, so plenty more coming soon.

Recipe highlights:
  • Alphabet Soup
  • Sunshine Veggie Curry
  • Summer Tomato Risotto
  • Hot Chocolate Porridge Oats

Talking about...

As we get used to being a family of four I have also been sharing more about our family life this month. I was overwhelmed by the response to my breast feeding experiences, which I shared for #nationalbreastfeedingweek We took George on his first family trip to stay with Granny and Grandpa in Kent. It was lovely to take him to my childhood home and also talk a little bit more about my Mum and her beautiful garden. It inspired so much of Mimi's Bowl and my passion for our children to eat wholesome and nutritious food. I made a quick video of her veggie patch on IGTV and I very much hope to shoot some more content on there soon.

Finally, I wrote a blog post about my top convenience foods: the things I rely on (in my store cupboard and freezer) to help me get healthy meals on the table. Any time short parent needs a few hacks to keep healthy home cooked food on the menu.

So, if you have been away and want to catch up on what's been going on at Mimi's Bowl head over to our instagram feed for the full update.
