Trick or Treat

This week it is the half-term, my little girl is on holiday from nursery and I want to make the most of some quality family time. We are going to be in the kitchen together and cooking up some sweet treats; starting with a new Playdate Gingerbread recipe. We will roll out the gingerbread together, use cookie cutters to make some fun shapes and then decorate the biscuits. We are also cooking with chocolate:  making some Chocolate Dipped Strawberries and Chocolate Banana & Marshmallow Pops. We are decorating them with chocolate buttons and chocolate drops, so i'll have one happy, slightly hyper toddler in tow... I'm also making Spooky Spider Web Pancakes, which look stunning and are so easy to make. If you want to try some of these ideas at home this week with your little ones, then follow mimi's bowl on Instagram!

As well as sweet treats, I'm making some naughty but nice treats, or snacks, in the run up to Halloween and Bonfire Night: Mini Sausage Rolls and Cheese and Marmite Pinwheels. These go brilliantly with my delicious Pumpkin Soup, which is just in time for #nationalpumpkinday (you can make this into a delicious pumpkin puree too for smaller babies), so hopefully there are some fun and festive ideas for everyone.
