Hot Chocolate Porridge
So this chocolate porridge sounds naughty but it’s actually pretty healthy. We loved this and it’s an easy enough to make for breakfast. I am using Lucy Bee cacao powder for the chocolate hit. Cocoa, or cacao powder, are great store cupboard standbys for chocolatey baking. Chocolate contains caffeine so this is a great alternative.
Makes 1 adult, or 2 small portions
I would serve this 1 year +
- 40g normal oats
- 1 ripe banana, peel and mash
- 220-250ml milk (dairy, or non dairy)
- 2 teaspoons cacao powder
- pinch of ground cinnamon
Cook your oats with the milk, once it starts to bubble you can add the other ingredients. Add mashed banana, cinnamon and cacao powder. Keep stirring until completely cooked. I serve with berries for a bit of sharp sweetness, bear faces optional...
